Girl Perfect
Man… practically every word in this book spoke deeply to me. it’s a memoir from an ex-model who did runways for armani & other top names. she speaks candidly about the behind-the-scenes life regarding eating disorders, drugs, men, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, pressure to look perfect, etc. She writes about how she find true healing & true freedom in only Jesus, not from this empty world. Awesome book. I’d definitely recommend for every girl/woman out there. Actually, for the men too if they want to understand the core of us women.

I’ve traveled the world twice over,
Met the famous; saints and sinners,
Poets and artists, kings and queens,
Old stars and hopeful beginners,
I’ve been where no-one’s been before,
Learned secrets from writers and cooks
All with one library ticket
To the wonderful world of books.

To read without reflecting is like eating without digesting.
To read is to empower
To empower is to write
To write is to influence
To Influence is to change
To change is to live.

God wants me to focus on Him and my fears/worries will disappear. “There is no fear in perfect love.” This hits home. I have so many fears, especially as someone in recovery. Fears like: What will ppl think of me? What if I’m just wasting my time pursuing this goal? Whens my next relapse coming up? etc. But focus on God- His power, His strength, His peace, His love, His availability thru prayer, His word- and He will quiet my anxious heart.

Time to sharpen up my Korean! I’m going to be a translator/real estate agent, so this is an important goal for me. I havent read a korean book in 10+ yrs! I can speak korean, but its becoming americanized. I need to polish up my pronunciation, learn vocabulary, improve my reading/writing skills.
I bought a book called “Winds Daughter, From Our Land.” It’s non-fiction, a woman writing about her travels across Korea. 300+ pgs. Great way to learn the language, the people, the culture, and the geography.

I’m in the middle of my trip to Baltimore right now. It’s been busy & activity & friend filled, which I love. But I’m taking the day today to relax and re-charge. I woke up at 12pm, went to the pizzeria w/ iris, and now im back at her place alone. I blogged online, updating my 43things, caught up on emails. I have 3-4 more hours to kill. I’ll finish my book (The Pact by Jodi Picoult, soo good), and do my abs workout :)

This guy “X” and i flirted for 3 months & we finally went out on a date. I keep switching back from being very attracted & annoyed by his pursuing. I turned him down twice. We’re back to being sort of acquaintance style, but I really miss him… not sure as a boyfriend or a friend.
Have you ever went back & forth like this again and again? What happened?
