How I did it: I started simple. I think being over-ambitious can cause more problems. Don't put pressure on yourself to make everything from scratch at first. You don't need to make the pasta by hand the first time you make alfredo, just the sauce will do. My problem was with organization. I'm a very frantic, unorganized person. How I did it: Big name craft stores (Michael's, A.C. Moore, ect) often offer 50% off coupons in the paper. I used one to buy an inexpensive circle loom set. Even since hearing about knitting looms, I have really wanted to try one. I'm a dolt at all things fabric related. Looms are a simple, quick way to knit. I added this to my list, but I’m not 100% confident about it. I keep putting it off and putting it off. I’ve been married 5 years now, but I don’t feel any urgency. I know I’ll probably be a mother one day, but it doesn’t feel “right” at this moment, or for the foreseeable future.
My county does a night school program, and I was finally able to get into the watercolor class, after having been on the wait list last term. I’m hoping to discover my inner artist—and paint a few pictures of cute animals.
