I just got my letter of acceptance from the Tulane School of Social Work, still waiting for Boston College, but now I get to move out of my parents house for sure!

Well, I’m in the planning stages of my first section hike! If I get into graduate school my dog and I are going to try and hike 400 miles, from Hot Springs NC to Roanoke VA starting in mid-June. I’m so excited! As soon as I get an acceptance letter anywhere I am running out and buying a new backpack!
Im an 11 year vegetarian and went vegan right around Christmas 2006, I had a little trouble with weight loss at the beginning, but I think things have really leveled out. I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner! It was so much easier than I expected it to be. There is no turning back for me now, once I really started thinking about the dairy and egg industries and how they are just as cruel if not more so than the meat industry, then there wasn’t a choice anymore. ETHICAL VEGANISM RULES!
I’m applying early decision to the smith school of social work, everybody cross their fingers!!!
is living without taking life. I believe in the native american concept that when you eat an animal you are ingesting all of its emotional experiences. Thus to eat a factory farm animal is to ingest sorrow and suffering. This is an unbelievably positive karmic choice. You will feel healthier, you will eat more carefully, and you will be taking a major step on the path of compassionate living.
