Funny how things work out. The editorial job at the medical office flew south because they had a problem with me going to my prenatal appointments. I’ve been making chump change grading test prep essays and making my pregnancy my main priority. I’m now thirty-three weeks along, farther than I’ve ever been, so this feels like new territory for me.
There are four projects that I’m working on and want to send out. Two for a contest, one for a newspaper, and one I need to find a home for. Here’s to getting these out sooner rather than later!

My finances are not at all looking good this year. Paltry paycheck coming from grading test prep essays as a contractual worker. These last two months have been especially slow. I will have to dip into our savings this month to help pay for car repairs and medical bills and some baby stuff I need to get. The blessing is that my husband keeps us afloat.
Sometimes I get real down about my financial worries, but then on the flip side, I try and do sometimes succeed at keeping the faith. To do the work that I can do and to keep writing.

I’ve had some pregnancy-related downs and scares that have set me back. But for the most part, I keep a fairly regular routine and I try to do what I can during the day in terms of the work I want to get done. So far, this has been working for me. When I am mentally restless and unable to focus, I just put it away for a while and come back to it. No feeling guilty and no resistance.
