How I did it: It all started with my parents, who, bless their souls, understood the value of seeing more of the world than one's own little corner. We took roadtrips nearly every summer starting when I was about 6 or 7 (youngest bro would have been 1-2 years old). I remember Maine, Wash DC, Wyoming, Montreal, Boston, and more.
