How I did it: I focused on limiting my diet--more proteins at night, minimal simple carbs, items low on the glycemic charts, fewer food choices (any limitation usually causes weight loss).  Lots of cashews and almonds, Snickers and diet soda as my treats, salads without frightening dressings, lots of protein.  Next goal is 180 pounds. How to voiceover an animated film
It took me
2 months
It made me
feel in sync.

How I did it: Finally scored an audition, and prepped well for a bunch of characters.  They liked me overall, and I scored two smaller roles.  After meetings and readings, I just got into the studio today and did my lines--went great!  And they all seemed pleased as well, so I'll chalk it up to a great experience so far.I'll likely have to do a follow-up round of re-recordings, and then I'll be anxious to see what comes of it.  They… Read how I did it…

act in a feature film
Still Looking 6 months ago

I’ve done a ton of professional theatre, a number of commercials and industrials and a few student films. I’m also about to do my first voiceover for an animated film. (I even had two seconds on HBO when I coached dialects for the first Project Greenlight film.) But I haven’t gotten to do a feature film… I made it all the way to a callback with Oliver Stone about a year ago, but that’s been it. My schedule certainly doesn’t help, nor does living in Houston, Texas, but I’ve got to figure out my way in… I’m now Equity, but SAG and AFTRA don’t make sense in this market. Hmmmm…

I just got my first animated film gig. Don’t know at this point if it will be for theatrical release or straight to DVD, but the script was quite good, and I’m excited about the two roles I get to do. I LOVE this kind of stuff! It’s right up my alley.

Leaving in two days 6 months ago

Just trying to finish things up at work and at home before we trek off to Greece on May 14. The to do list is long, but I’m already beginning to go to Greece mentally—I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s wonderful to realize (again) how powerful the mind is. Nothing has changed, but I’m acting as if it has because of anticipation. I could live like this all the time… and I don’t have to go to Greece to do it…
