New goals. 4 months ago

My main goal is not to save lots of money. I’m saving little by little, but I’m trying to payoff debt and save a little along the way. I’m not in jeopardy of losing my job, so to me, getting rid of debt is the most important thing right now. I have a couple things I’m saving for:

1). Trip to Vegas next year with my friend Ashley.
2). Christmas. I won’t be spending a lot this year, but having a Christmas account worked really well for me last year.
3). Emergency fund. I’m not keeping this account full like I should because most of the money I make is going toward debt, but I will be putting a little into this account each month and when it gets full, I’ll be moving money over to my debt.

Current savings balances:

Vegas Account: $60.29
Christmas Account: $75.43
Emergency Fund: $452.40

The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro & Chuck Hogan 4 months ago

A Boeing 777 arrives at JFK and is onits way across the tarmac, when it suddenly stops dead. All window shades are pulled down. All lights are out. All communication channels have gone quiet. Crews on the ground are lost for answers, but an alert goes out to the CDC. Dr. Eph Goodweather, head of their Canary project, a rapid-response team that investigates biological threats, gets the call and boards the plane. What he finds makes his blood run cold…

I absolutely loved this book. I normally stick to reading historical/paranormal romance, but after my mom read the book and loved it, I thought I’d give it a try. The book grabs you from the beginning and doesn’t let go. Each page is full of mystery and intrigue. Even halfway into the book you don’t fully grasp what is happening, which makes you want to keep reading.

This book is actually the first in a trilogy that Del Toro & Hogan are working on and I’m anxiously awaiting the next book!
