How I did it: I got a chest x-ray because I thought I had a broken rib, the notes say they saw some "granuloma" in my lungs. scared me enough to quit, so I did.the next x-ray a year later saw no change, but I did quit smoking. Read how I did it…

I had a friend bring me out surfing, got a board, and a suit and went.
he gave me tips on how not to piss people off, and some tips on how to be out there.
it takes practice but I’m getting better every time out.
this year I couldn’t go out as much, and I got some winter booties and gloves. the winter surf isn’t so fun, it’s confusing with the hood on, I can’t hear anything, and I think my gloves are a bit big, I feel like I’m wearing boxing gloves paddling out (and they’re slippery on top of that).
so next time (probably in the spring) when I go out there with gloves on, they have to be a size smaller, and I need tons of wax on my board.
the toughest part for me was just being able to read the waves properly to catch it rather than be left behind by it or be tumbled over by it.
worth it, and I’m still working on it.
go surf!
