Yet another challenging couple of weeks in this job, has really got me thinking about my life. This new “mantra” I tried to establish, didn’t work out so well. It was to encourage me to WORK to LIVE, not vice versa. Now my work-life balance is completely out of whack.

I’m wanting to try something new for size. Perhaps, I’m just living life in fear. Yes, I have this outstanding, unique job, my family loves me, and I know there are others out there that would love to wrap their arms around me. Yet, I haven’t taken any chances. I’m so afraid of screwing up, that I don’t allow myself to make the mistakes I need to progress. New mantra: Take risks and forever hold your peace.

Bummer, I’ve been so busy with work I have only been running once or twice a week. So behind now.

Defined Goals 4 weeks ago

Well, this goal is actually tied to 2 other goals of mine – to run a triathalon and lose weight. I think running more would be the KEY thing to do at this point.

Therefore, I will start off in this manner:

Week 1: Run 8 miles / 1 mile at a time
Week 2: Run 10 miles / 2 miles at a time
Week 3: Run 14 miles / 2 miles at a time
Week 4: Run 20 miles / 3-4 miles at a time
Week 5: Run 25 miles / 5 miles at a time
Week 6: Run 30 miles / 6 miles at a time
Week 7: Run 40 miles / 5-8 miles at a time
Week 8: Run 50 miles / 7-10 miles at a time
Week 9: Run 55 miles / 10-12 miles at a time
Week 10: Run 60 miles / 10-12 miles at a time

I think I have broke this out by what I can handle. Since I only have 6 days left this week – I might have to spend Tues or Wed to run an extra 2 miler.
