I tried getting work study at the college which was my only avenue to work while i’m here in seattle as a visa student, but ‘surprise’ you cant get it w/o a ssn, and i (as a canadian) can’t get an ssn!!!
So I’m a trained jeweller, craftsperson, salesperson, with lots of skills and marketing ability and the luxury of being ‘exotic’ simply by being from somewhere thats not local… bit advantage in the crafts market world.
I’m going to a craft show tomorow near the university to check out the scene and maybe meet some local craftspeople.
Maybe i’ll spot a gap in the market or think of something super cool.

but as it is… my brushing/flossing has GREATLY improved in frequency.
That’s not to say that its totally orderly or anything, because my eating habits are totally back in a schedule because hours are weird and i haven’t got it pat yet… but i get that ‘gross teeth feeling’ and brush to keep myself from being gross.

Awesome.
I spent friday hanging with the guys from my program, and learned a LOT about the 4 of them.
I also found out i have a co-battlestargalactica freak among the gang, me and nathan agree on lots of other things too including lots about politics and culture. And i crashed (innocently) at Brandon’s house that night after a long evening of jazz/talking/joking/drinking/smoking/cards.
I smoked more than i really like to, but even today i have no interest in smoking.
These folks are my colleagues dude… nothing romantical or otherwise co-ed is going to happen beyond the platonic with any of them, so i’ll have to cross that bridge if it makes itself apparent, but in the meantime, i think we’re all having a heck of a lot of fun getting to know one another.
Our common ground is music, and the fact that we have NO other common ground really in most cases.
Cool, real cool.
