see the Tour de France live
it's over very quickly 2 years ago

I’ve seen the tour live a few times now, each time in Paris. It’s fun, but you stand there in a big crowd for hours, watching un-clever advertising cars drive past and, then, after ages, suddenly there are the riders. Everybody starts pushing each other and tries to take a photo as this whoosh of colour goes by. And that’s it. Then you go home. It might be more fun on the alp d’huez.

not much chance of this since I moved from the beach in Sydney to Strasbourg, which is 100s of km from a decent beach. Damn!

Today, after 6 1/2 years I finially finished my PhD! It’s printed, bound and submitted. I thought this day would never come. YAY!
