detox (read all 2 entries…)
Awsome resource 1 year ago

I’m preparing for a big detox to rinse the stress of this past semester out of my system and I came across this website, EXTREMELY informative and not a single hint at trying to sell anything. It Is one long page, all the major/important facts are highlighted, bold, and a couple of sizes bigger font so it is really easy to scan through, I highly recommend taking a look to anyone interested in detoxing.

brew my own beer
I've got a week left!!! 2 years ago

until my first brew is done. I’d didnt exactly follow a recipe, 4lbs of brown pre-hopped malt extract, 3 lbs of corn sugar (never again, i didn’t learn about the cidery after taste it gives beer till later) 6oz of crystal, 4oz of chocolate and 4oz of black patent malted barley, and some irish moss. Its in the bottles now, it looks almost black till you hold it up to a light, then its the deepest prettiest ruby I’ve ever seen in a beer. I hope the flavor holds up! (though I’ve tasted it flat and it just seems too watery or something :( )

I’ve been brewing in two buckets with sealing lids, .35 cent rubber grommets and $1.50 airlocks, the secondary having a bottling spigot towards the bottom. It has worked fine, and the entire getup cost me under 20 bucks!

I bottled it last night, it looks almost black till you hold it up to a light, then its the deepest prettiest red I’ve ever seen in a beer. I hope the flavor holds up!
