At least I have joined a… well, what is it in English? A skrivarcirkel = literally a writing circle. We’ll meet every 2nd week, read aloud what we´ve written – a different assignment every time – and then we’ll talk about what we’ve written. Last week I got comments on my childrens story and it was great. I think that I could actually do this now.
Right now I am especially thinking about harp seals being slaughtered in Canada, but it’s also the whole industry. Foxes, minks, all kinds of animals… treated badly and then killed just because some old lady (does anyone else really wear fur?) wants to look good. It’s horrible and I would want it to stop. Preferably by being a good example and talking to people instead of hitting them in the head with a sign.
