I'm working on it! 3 months ago

I decided to keep studying at the art school. I just love drawing, therefore it should stay a big part of my life.

Since I’ve got nothing to lose I’ll do the entering exam for graphic design. This way I’ll be able to discuss my possibilities with the teachers and make my final decision.
If I fail the exam, I’ll just go back to animation.

Choices 4 months ago

Last year I started my first year of college. I decided to study animation at Ghent. After I passed the entry exam, I began my education.
It has been a great year, drawing the entire day, creating movement and of course being around wonderful people. It wàs great, but it was also really hard and I did the best I could. (seriously, I woke up, worked for school and went back to sleep) Despite all my effort I failed. (My little movie at the end of the year wasn’t good enough)It’s a pity, but I’m still very proud of what I achieved. I started with a small arrears (don’t know if this is the word) and ended with a shortage of only 2 points, which isn’t too bad because only 11 out of 30 students passed. Anyway I learned a lot.
I can start in the first year of animation again, but I’m afraid I won’t make enough progress and fail again. (I can’t really afford that) I’m thinking about studying graphic design, which is supposed to be easier than animation, but you know, it’s no animation. Or maybe I should leave the art coureses behind me and study something more theoretical like anthropology, but maybe that’s too difficult for me.
What to do, what to do.

Childhood memories 4 months ago

Those of you who are ‘bout 20 years old probably watched Pokémon on tv when you were kids. I did, and I was obsessed. I owned traiding cards, stickers, plushies, pokémon red for gameboy, t-shirts, etc
Eventually the hype died and I grew up. Nowadays I see new pokémon games in the stores and find myself thinking about the good old days when all that mattered was the level of my charmander. I miss those times. * drifts away in het memories *
Anyway, Me wants it, the precious, and I don’t even own a nintendo ds, maybe I’ll buy one after the summer, when I’ve earned some money.
