They say third time is the charm. I have a flight booked for Dublin for the end of Feb. Irish brew, folk music, and meeting some new friends are my goals for this trip.

Moved out of the city and back to the burbs. The development that I moved into has an airport close by and I get to enjoy watching the planes in the pattern. I am so getting the bug again.
I have been wanting to do this trip for a while now. On two different occasions I had flights booked and had to cancel due to some issues at work. I am not going to cancel the next trip that I book. I had bought Frommer’s Ireland in 2005 and it has collected too much dust on my bookcase. It’s time to fulfill this goal. Spring of 2008.
I watched the last successful launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger and it was too awesome. I was amazed at how much the ground shook during lift-off. Would love to watch one more launch before they end the Shuttle program.
While I feel that hiking can be a wonderful introspective experience, I believe it is most enjoyable when you are trekking through the forest with someone who equally shares your passion for creation. This goal almost sounds too good to be true… however, I am a glass is half full kind of guy and know she is out there ready to follow those trails with me until we are both old and gray.
Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself… wow. this is a hard one. I think the world would be perfect if everyone could do this.
I have recently moved to the city and this has kind of forced me to be a little more outgoing. While I admit that I am little bit shy, I can be outgoing when I feel like it. I just believe in being modest. Anyway… this is one goal I need to get started on if I plan on tackling my goal of falling in love again.
I lived in Alaska for almost 2 years and absolutely loved it in the summer time. I am not much for cold weather, so I would not enjoy spending another winter in AK. There are not too many places in this world that can compare to Alaska. The scenery can be breathtaking and you definitely feel a connection with God while traveling across this beautiful landscape. I guess what I want to do most when I return for my summer adventure is hike, fish, and relax. I can’t wait to return.
One of those things that I started and never finished. I really enjoyed learning to fly. I guess the one thing I enjoyed most about learning to fly was the challenge. I have never been all that great at multi-tasking (referring to inanimate objects only), but once up in the air you are forced to be a multitasker. Multitask or crash.
It’s been a long time since I have been in Love. It’s hard to put this as a goal, as I do believe love happens and can’t be pursued. With that said, I do hope love shows back up in my life one day. For when that old stranger called love decides to reappear in my life, I will have the pleasure knowing that love has not only come back into my life, but into someone else’s as well. For true love is not given, but shared.
This is one of my more ambitious goals. I have wanted to this ever since I was a kid. I can remember my parents taking me up to hike parts of it in North Georgia when I was young. We always did afternoon hikes and it would drive me crazy when we had to turn around and go back to the trailhead. I just wanted to follow the darn trail to the end. I do think this would be one memorable journey. One you would never forget. This is probably one of the last things I will get to complete on my 43 things list and I will not be able to hike it until so called “retirement”.
