The shuttle launch schedule here: http://www.nasa.gov/missions/highlights/schedule.html
Identifies opportunities to see the next couple of missions in October and December of this year.
My question is – which is better weather-wise? Should I go with October? December? Next year, perhaps? I’m anxious to go, but don’t want to have a miserable time standing outside while I wait for the “go”.

Even if it’s a song you’ve done a million times in the shower, you have got to get up and sing.
Everybody can do it. Sometimes it’s about having the right friends around. Often, it’s about having the right crowd to sing to.
And sometimes, it’s just about finding the right song. I started out my karaoke “career” with a song by Steely Dan.
WRONG MOVE
After I scooped my poor pride up off the floor, I decided to work with something that was more in line with the crowd, more in line with me. Pearl Jam.
And there it began.
It’s always worth it to hear the crowd’s appreciation, even if you get the butterflies when you’re up there. I know I do, every time.

You’ve got to try it!
Be safe and follow directions – LN is dangerous stuff – and you’ll have some of the creamiest, most delicious ice cream you’ve ever tasted. Plus, it takes only ten minutes, and most of that is prep work.
See jcruelty’s instructions below – if you want a video demo, check out mine on YouTube:
