Hello everyone! I’m at the lake for the summer, and consequently seriously missing my internet connection. Managed to come to town for an hour by myself, and get some online time with my laptop in the library (which is so cute! so small town!).
My goal for the next few days is to figure out my summer goals. What I want to accomplish over the next several weeks. These will include eating well, exercising, doing fun stuff with teh kids, and getting through some repairs on the cottage, for sure. Other stuff – maybe soem quilting, reading, perhaps finally finishing writing the family newsletter I started before last Christmas!
DH went to donate blood a couple of weeks ago and was told his iron is very low. He is now doing a bunch of tests to figure out why. I find it a little worrisome – mostly, I’m trying not to think too much about it until we find out what the tests say. No point in worrying until we have something to worry about… still. It feels sometimes like life never takes a rest.
Brother H is home from the hospital, though still on antibiotics. However, there are two nurses coming to see him through the week, and hopefully keeping a good eye on him.
Kids all finished school with good report cards: C got an 80% average, which is awesome. Q did much better than expected, with mostly Bs and even a few As on his report card. Bubs of course had a perfect report card, and Mouse’s kindergarten report was all about how well she can count to twenty, write her name, and play nicely with the other kids in the class. So a reprieve for the summer, and then we go back to do it all again!
Great Canada Day celebrations on July 1st. Took kids to see the fireworks (although somehow Bubs managed to fall asleep in the middle of it).
Now off to do some errands, and am not sure when I’ll be back online: perhaps not for a week. So wishing everyone a happy start to July!
