My parents just bought me a car- for which I am exceedingly grateful, believe me, and when I become fantastically rich I intend to pay them back or at least let them borrow my jet- which happens to be a manual transmission. I think I finally have it down now, though, and I haven’t knocked over a single mailbox! (Terrified a few, though.)

I can’t quite figure out how this got its reputation. I thought it was a way easier read than Lord of the Rings- more interesting, more stuff happening, much less description of scenery.
It’s not exactly a novel, though- it reminds me of a scholarly book on Greek or other mythology, only fictional. If you don’t like myth books already, probably best not to try this. If you do, and you like LotR even a little, go for it, it’s awesome.
Well, I can make connected loopy things, anyway. My book’s not much good at explaining the fancier things, but I don’t think I’d have the patience to tat a tablecloth anyway.
