when i was a senior, my high school choir went on a tour of china. we were walking around on the great wall, and my a capella director decided to do my solo song, “hey ya.” yes, the one by andre 3000. it was unforgettable.

right now i’m talking to profs and applying for grants to go back to brasil to research and write about women and sex tourism, diaspora, religion, and nationalism. the project is pretty effin exciting. i hope it works out =)
