Well, since I joined this goal I’ve lost 10 pounds. I wonder if there’s a “Gain 20 lbs.” goal around here somewhere…

I’m two weeks into school now, and my plan for good grades is going alright. My organization has gotten a lot better, but I’m still procrastinating when it comes to homework. I usually wait until late at night to finally do it, which means I’m getting a lot less sleep than I should. Does anyone have tips for stopping procrastination?
I haven’t gotten straight a’s since sixth grade. It’s not that I don’t get the material we learn, I’m just extremely unorganized and a horrible procrastinator. This summer I came up with a new strategy for getting good grades again:
- I cleared out my house’s upstairs landing as my study area. I stocked up on everything I could possibly need for schoolwork and put it all inside my desk so I couldn’t make any excuse to get up until my work is done.
- I’ve done away with loose notebook paper; it just ends up crumpled at the bottom of my backpack. I’ve opted for spiral notebooks to store in all of my three-ring binders (one for each subject). This way I can secure all of my papers while still easily able to organize them in the binders
Hopefully this plan will put me back on track for grades I can be proud of.
