I have been travelling for a while and ignoring my account but today I am back to write about this. I am a Canadian who loves Texas, I was visiting my family there during hurricane Katrina. I am now back home but am feeling highly anxious about my family members. They are evacuating from houston now, however having a hard time getting away from the city. I, like I’m sure most others, feel helpless. Well, we are not completely helpless—we can pray. While we are watching in awe we can pray, for safety, individuals, children, families, katrina victims, anybody and everybody. I believe in the power of prayer, and that it’s even greater in multiples. So like in my goal we all have an opportunity to help those that can’t help themselves right now, by praying.
This photo is of our favorite activites, feeding the seagulls by the beach while staying at the nearby family beachouse on galveston island.
still going for this main goal, however, I have been camping and havent recorded anything. Still excersizing, however, I will not be recording my times in this journal cuz I already have to record it in my weight watchers website. Still activley seeking this goal.
I want to first reach my cardio goal, 45 mins 5-6 days a week. Once I have made this a habit I will add my extensive 20 min stretching (I always stretch a bit) daily and my resistance training.
cardio: 45 min, 16.72km, 388.3 calories
I still have to beat my record on friday july 15 on this 45 min workout
cardio: 16 mins, 5.09 km, 125 cal
I was really tired, however I thougt a little was better then nothing.
Thankyou for inviting me to be in this group. I have slowly, but surely been read the success principles on the website. I think these are great and I will definently be applying these to my life and will hopefully inspire others to do the same. Thankyou for your support, it is greatly appreciated considering the fact that I rarely get the support from friends lately including that of my longtime best friend.
Cardio: a vigorous cycle 40-50 minutes/5-6 days a week & try to beat my stats a little each workout.
Resistance training: 4 days a week
Stretching: 6 days a week 10-20 mins each day
Lifestyle Activity: 5-6 days a week ( ie gardening, housecleaning—most chores that have to be done anyway! as well as parking farther away wherever I go, walking, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.)
These are my goals for my lifestyle change. I realise the only way to keep the weight off, and be healhty and active to an old age is to change my lifestyle.
today my mom came over and helped me with my yard. We did a lot. Basically we cleand op the whole yard, it looks awesome. Tommorow we are taking care of the weeds and probably planting a couple of bushes. It feels good to chip away at this list.
My husband and I just bought a house last year, and the yard was never taken care of. I need to finish digging out all the weeds in the garden along the front of the house and plant grass instead. This way I can just mow the yard. I am going to put out contemproary planters to match the house and put annuals in them. I can just rinse and store the planters in the winter. As much as I would like to make a real garden, right now I don’t have time for one. I Think this is an easy alternative
I did 30 mins on the bike sunday and yesterday. My goal is to do 45 mins 6days/wk. I started weight watchers online today, my weigh-in day is thursdays.
My home office organization is going ok. I at least cleared the desk so my husband has a place that he can go and work in instead of the kitchen table. I built this desk last year from scratch. It is a floating desk that hangs of the wall and is suprisingly really sturdy, you could sit on it. Anyways I hate the colour, it was a paint colour I already had, now I have to paint it a better colour. The walls need to be change too.
I created a wall for my hubby with all his favorite things. Mine is next just have to figure out what to put on it!
Now I have to take my boxes of stuff to the salvation army. At least half of the room went.
I am still technically not done but a lot closer than I was Before!
It’s small home office with a lot of crap in it. All of our personal papers. I am going to do this today. I am generally a clean non cluttered person, so I ended up putting everything in here so it doesn’t effect the rest of my house thinking I’ll deal with it after, then I can’t use my office because all of this random junk is in here. I’m just going to give away most of these things to salvation army. I also have to create more organization for this room because there is not enough space for my hubby and I to both have our stuff in there. I may have to create another office because we both work at home so much. I will post the before and afters of my office.
