I think this is only worth doing as a means to something else you want to accomplish and not an ends in itself. I met plenty of people while I was there who had no ambition further than going to college because that is what their parents and teachers wanted for them.
You can make money and be happy without college. Go to college if it is a step toward a bigger goal for you. This could be a specific career, an intense interest in a subject, or a general desire for knowledge. Just realize that it is a huge investment in time and money and consider carefully if it is worth it to you. It isn’t always.
I wanted to be a teacher. I needed to go to college. There were some good times and some bad times in my education, and it certainly helped me grow as a person, but in the end, it was just a means to an end for me, and I am glad I am moving on.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD (though I have suspected it for a while). I’ve always been a bit anti-medication, especially with ADHD ones that have so many negative side-effects.
After doing some research it looks like ADHD sufferers can show great improvement in focus and attentiveness if they learn to meditate, but that learning to meditate can be very hard for somebody with ADHD.
So maybe I’ll be in for a hard road with this goal, but it’s worth a shot, and it is a much better solution than Ritalin will ever be in my book.

I bought a big pot and put a cilantro, eggplant and red pepper plant in it and put it by the front step. I love that I can look at them every day and see how much they’ve grown just since the morning before.
Someday I’ll have a house with an actual yard and will have room for more than three plants, so I am not marking this goal as done because I will want it for that time.
But I am pretty happy with my three plants for now.
