Counting my caloric intake really opened my eyes and I realized why I had gained so much weight. Then I began shooting for 2,000 calories a day and the weight began to fall off. After about a month, I could pretty much estimate how many calories I was consuming without writing them all down and I continue to lose weight.

How I did it: Not that I advocate this, but I told him repeatedly that little girls two and three years younger than him knew how to ride their bikes. It pissed him off enough to make him want to risk falling off a few times until he got the hang of it. This was not an easy thing to teach my son.I'm sure I went about it all wrong too. Read how I did it…
I started a bible study for men and it was a lot harder than I expected. First of all, getting men to show up to something like this without a wife to drag them along was nearly impossible. Second, I found myself putting off preparing the lessons until the last minute. Most weeks, I didn’t look forward to the small group, which is a shame. I definitely learned some lessons for the next time I tackle this, but I don’t think it’ll be a men’s group.
