My sis is a great knitter. Me? I can’t knit two rows without messing up! I am realizing that I can’t do everything perfectly. There are plenty of things that I do effortlessly and well, things that amaze other people. So I can’t knit…it doesn’t upset me. I can bake a perfect apple pie from scratch. I can take awesome photgraphs. I am raising three terrific kids of my own, plus I’ve found room in my heart for someone else’s child who needs me. Who needs to knit? Not me.

Maybe knitting isn't my thing....

I can't believe I'm closing in on the halfway mark!

And I’m still sticking with it! The schedule that I have is really great, because I only have to read the books I don’t like (Leviticus—yuck) one day a week, a couple of chapters at a time. I look forward all week to Saturday and Sunday because that’s when I read the New Testament.
I hate deadlines!

This isn’t working…I’m going to give this up for now and just read the books when I get to them, when I can truly appreciate and ejoy them, instead of feeling like it’s a chore that has to be endured.
