a small island near phuket. we spent a night here to get away from the hustle of phuket. it was the end of the peak season so there were hardly any tourists. beautiful! underdeveloped and charming. we stayed on a hill top and the photo is the view from the balcony.

How I did it: i went for vipassana meditation which is a 10 day course. i stay on site and you are not allowed to smoke during the 10 days. so, i stopped smoking. there were no cravings as i was preoccupied. the hard part came when the 10 days was almost up... do i continue to NOT smoke? i battled myself with this decision as i was not prepared to give up smoking. i love it! however, it was quite an achievement… Read how I did it…

i had been here 10 years ago. i did not remember it fondly. however, this time, i enjoyed it thoroughly. my partner and i spent a week here. we rented a motorbike and rode around the island, visiting the many beaches.
