Well, this summer I completed the visitation of all the provinces in Canada – now I just need to move on to the territories. I took a trip to the Atlantic provinces and that finished off the provinces for me!

How I did it: My husband and I went to Nasca, Peru and booked a flight with a local agent. We were in the air about 30 minutes. We got lots of pictures. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I married a wonderful man who had been my friend for about 7 years. It was wonderful to slowly grow into something more. Just last week we were married and are now enjoying our honeymoon in Peru! Read how I did it…
What girl doesn’t dream about getting married, of having her prince ride in and sweep her off her feet? It has been my dream for sometime to get married to the right guy, and for the longest time I thought I was ready. I wondered what was wrong that the time hadn’t come for me and my love to be together. Now I can see, there wasn’t anything wrong, but I wasn’t ready. God has been forming me and making me into the woman he needed me to be. God’s timing is so much more perfect than mine ever could be! I think there is such value in romance that grows out of a long and secure friendship. I can’t imagine getting married under any other circumstances.
I think when I first listed this as a goal, my idea of what a “missionsry” was is significantly different than how I see it now. I have been on several short term mission trips – on several continients, but I have also lived in several different cultures within North America. Each place there are adaptations and changes to make in how we minister to others. Now I am a pastor in a small town in Alberta, only a few hours from where I gre up, but I am a missionary to the community in which my church is situated in. It is a neat shift in context and perspective for me!
