Since I became a high school teacher, my life has got a lot more regular, and despite some laziness on my part, I’m generally more satisfied than ever about my resolutions to do stuff. What I need now perhaps is a prioritized todo list. I’ll see if my newly improved self discipline can help me with that.

How I did it: It took me about 2 months to touchtyping. I tried various ways, but never really the standard training programs! I used to put a wallpaper of the keyboard layout on my desktop, but only for the initial references. However hard you may feel at the beginning, the comfort will start to grow on you quite nicely. I’ve just started teaching for about 3 months, and I absolutely love the teaching aspect of it (there are also some unpleasant aspects to it). This is my first job, and I don’t know if I’ll get other fulfilling ones; but since I’ve been loving kids for quite a long time, I’m feeling that teaching is really for me. I can sense that while some of my colleagues are doing their JOB, I am feeling like working for a COURSE. May this passion be with me for as long as teaching takes. I’m not considering myself done on this task yet.
And set another goal to relearn Qwerty instead?
There are various ways to set up a Dvorak keyboard on a random computer so there really is little motivation for me to relearn Qwerty… Dvorak makes me very comfortable.
