um.. too long to explain, but I’m just glad I could add another achieved goal to my list.
Learning website making was a long process and there was a lot of silly mistakes. It wasn’t really so much as “I have achieved it in …. many days”.. For me it was a learning process, and it wasn’t like I kept track of the very first day I learnt it up to now.
I wouldn’t say I’m a web expert now- just saying I have fulfilled this goal and I’m proud. ^
(Although 20 websites is probably not such a good idea xD )
OK, procrastinating again (dammit) but lets give a little history. ^
The first time I was searching Google how to make websites, I came across Webspawner and it.. uh…sucked. Well, I was clueless about how to make one. I still remember what I wanted my first website to be about, though.. I never ever told anyone this, but it was a Hilary Duff site- just coz I was jealous that somebody at school had a Hilary Duff site. Gosh, when I think back, I was kind of an idiot.. I tried to access the site using hilaryduff.com, (to think I’d try to access it using a TLD which is impossible for me to attain without credit cards) lol.
I was COMPLETELY lost with HTML code when I tried Bravenet.com.. But I remember trying www.zoomshare.com when I first started. It was simple, but it was kinda cool only because it accepted HTML.
OK. I never really thought about it before, but actually, now that I think of it, I’ve tried multiple web hosts. I don’t have a certain web host right now… I use ning.com, but that’s a social network ,so that’s different. I think the term website is a bit too general. It can be anything really… A forum, a chat page, a blog, a social network..I mean, sure, it’s not just a web page, but it’s still a site. I’ve come across php and mysql, but sadly, I don’t get any of it. I’m learning. ^^ Still learning. Maybe not a newbie, but still. I know I still have a lot to cover.
Oh no. This is long. Very long… WHYY??? I hate how the internet is such a big procrastination tool. Damn.
