Well I got my guitar spent 4 hrs practicing today to say the least my fingers are really soar. But in the past week I’ve come along way I pretty much understand tabs now which is totally helpful and to any beginners that are looking to teach them self fender sells a DVD it’s awesome tells you everything you need to know including how to change your strings. and I’ve learned smoke on the water granted that is the easiest song on the guitar to learn I’ve only had the guitar for a day. So I’m taking my baby steps but at least I’m getting somewhere.

O.k. So a couple of weeks ago I decided to teach myself to play the acoustic guitar now mind you when I started this I knew NOTHING I hadn’t even taken a music class when I was younger I’m deff having a problem with tabs I went to this website on how to read tabs well it helped me a little but I’m still very confused like I understand the strings ebgdae and I understand the frets but where are the numbers coming in from I just don’t understand. So any little bit of help anyone can give would be great.
