The last two years, a friend of mine and I have said we want to play tennis. There’s even free courts near where we both used to live. (We both moved a half hour away and in different directions.) I even gone so far as to buy tennis balls both years (the first year, I ended up giving them to her dog). But, alas, we’ve done nothing. I can’t find my raquet so I’ll have to buy a new one, but I’m determined to play this year.

Made a few calls with no luck on finding either lessons or a non-competitive team. Sent email to athletic director at one of the local colleges that has a really good soccer team.

I love yoga. I loved it before I even knew what it was (my ballet teacher in college had us doing yoga cool downs at the end of each class – laying on a cool hardwood floor, stretching… ah, so nice.)
Yoga is also not in my budget at the moment. I have a couple tapes (not my faves) and they do have a few classes on tv (including Exercise on Demand). I do so much better with a class. Much more fun than trying to do it at home with my cats in my face or walking on me.
