So the other day my boyfriend were talking about this the other day when the AFL (Australian Football League) fixtures came out and we found out that his team (west coast) and my team (adelaide) will not be playing in our hometown (adelaide), they will be playing in Perth. So then we said, “we should fly over to see it!” This is great because Mark LOVES Perth and I have never been but would like to, AND EVEN BETTER, the date of the game just happens to fall in our mid year uni holidays!! fate? i think so :D
Will help toward my other goal of seeing more of australia too, because we will be able to stay for a week or so and see everything around near perth, i would love to see rottnest island… allsorts to see and do! :D
Just have to make sure i’ve paid back the parentals before i go off travelling again!!

About 4.5 weeks til I leave. I received my volunteer project allocation yesterday, I will be doing the leatherback and green sea turtle conservation project. This involves patrolling the beach (mostly at night) to look for turtle coming ashore, taking details of these turtles, nest relocation of low chance survival turtle nests, making sure people aren’t coming to steal the eggs (they sell them), helping to build and working in the turtle hatchery, and cleaning up the beach. SOOOOOO excited!! Still got a few things to buy for the trip, but i will only be taking a backpack so i wont be able to pack too much… I really hope we do get plenty of chances to do laundry cos i’m not wearing dirty underwear for 5.5 weeks!!!
