How I did it: I still watch minimal TV (30 Rock, Entourage, The Office, Ellen, etc.) but not daily, weekly, or on any sort of schedule. USUALLY just an episode of something when I am settling down to sleep for the night (unless I have a good book). I think it's unfair to write off all TV, because there is a lot of funny, interesting, and educational matter to be viewed (among the mountains of crap that also make it on air). How I did it: I want to make it clear up front that I still enjoy a drink or two from time to time. I just no longer binge or drink to feel something different. I think this was more about feeling comfortable in social situations and really enjoying myself as just that, myself. 1 book down, 4 to go. It is becoming increasingly difficult to do this considering all free reading time is now devoted to my Fundamentals of Nursing book.
I’ve decided that I am for sure going for two or three weeks during the Summer of 2011 or over the Holidays after graduation in December of 2011. It’s impractical to try to go before then :(
