this summer i lived in santa barbara, california with my best friend and i cant remember ever loving my life more. everyone should do this. at least for a short period of time.
i love the beaches of santa barbara and my favorite girls live out there…but with the over population and insane expensiveness of living out there, im just thinkin ill stick to the east coast.
last night i finished reading harry potter & the order of the pheonix. (finallly). it was good, but the 4th is still my absolute favorite. im taking a break for a few days and maybe reading a non-harry potter book, but then ill be jumping right into the 6th. woo.
last weekend my roomate jaclyn and i ran the race for the cure in cleveland. it was so great. i didnt even think i would be able to do it but by the time it was done we had energy to keep on running! i definitely want to run another race asap.
i think ive decided that i dont really want to live in california. i would rather live on the east coast. im going to delete this goal.
best thing ive ever done in my entire life.
im currently here in australia and i will be till december.
i love it here.
ok. this school year has been amazing for me. my whole life ive just dreamed of doing things but there was always something to hold me back. not anymore. this year i have done so many things ive always wanted to do and im in the process of doing more. i love it. i am truely living the life i want to live and i wouldnt trade it for anything. everything is perfect and everything is exactly how i would have it. :) when i look back at my life this time last year and realize how much better it is now and how much truely happier i am, it makes me smile and realize that i am finally living.
since the beginning of the school year, when i moved into my first apartment with my 4 friends, my cooking has improved sooo much. :) im not a chef or anything, but i can actually cook. sooo i guess im ready to get married. haha. right.
in july i am leaving to study abroad for 5 months at the university of new castle in australia. :)
so today i finished the first harry potter book. let me tell you. it was wonderful. if you havent read any, i suggest you do. as soon as i was done i ran to the library to pick up the second and i started it, but i think i should take a break to finish the lion the witch and the wardrobe before the movie comes out.
last night i ice skated in rockefeller center and it was probably one of the most fun things i have ever done. it was so so so so fun and i cant remember the last time i laughed so hard. : )
well. this weekend i have a trip planned to go to new york city with some of my best friends. : ) my fingers are crossed that we will skate in rockafeller center.
so ive decided the only way to help expand my vocabulary is to 1. read more 2. have a word of the day emailed to me everyday and 3. um. im actually still looking for a 3. if you have any suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated! :)
so. if all goes according to plan i will be studying abroad in australia july-december 2006. : ) I’m figuring out all the details now and seeing which organization I want to go through and such. The school I want to go to there is called the University of New Castle and it is beautiful. : )
GOAL OF THE WEEK: go to the study abroad office at Akron and put this plan into action.
ok. so i kind of did this the other day. i had to drop a class and needed a teacher’s signiture so i went to her and had to tell her i was dropping and i needed her to sign the paper. i was so nervous. buttt i did it. yes.
however, i have not yet gotten over my fear of confrontation.
so i cant cross it off my life.
but im one step closer! : )
so my teacher said the other day, “you cannot be a successful teacher unless you are organized.”
and i was like, “oh my gosh. im not organized at all.” and was totally motivated to become organized so that i will be a fantastic teacher one day soon.
so for the past day and a half ive been cleaning my room and organizing EVERYTHING. i finished about 15 minutes ago.
it is glorious.
everything has a place. : )
i love to laugh.
it makes you so happy!
a quote the teacher gave in one of my classes the other day was:
“children laugh 400 times a day. adults laugh 25 times a day.”
woah.
we need to start laughing more!
