Ever since I was little I’ve always had a fascination with whales. Dreams accompanied by the prescence of a humpback whale are always accompanied with this indescribable feeling; it’s magical. Whales hold so much symbolic significance to me that seeing a whale in real life would be nothing less than a miracle. To anyone with a fascination with whales, watch the movie whale rider, it’s very inspiring. Oh and never visit sea world; deprived of everything natural and comforting, such as having the freedom to travel as far as the ocean spans, and living within a family unit, and hunting; these orcas, all deemed “shamu” are nothing more than slaves; misunderstood by their “keepers” and deprived of all things natural for the entertainment of the ignorant public.

I never said a word in school unless directly asked a question until late middle school. I was always the strange one, the one picked last, only having one or two friends. It didn’t help that I changed schools many times throughout my childhood. I feared judgement. To this day I rarely strike up conversation and although not constantly mortified of judgement I distance myself from acquantances and to compensate I desperately seek the attention from people who I do know. I’m so uncomfortable with showing who I really am that I avoid all contact with strangers and never let myself be seen without makeup and my hair fixed. My confidence is based solely upon my looks, it really is disgusting but I feel hideous without makeup and my hair done. I feel so trapped. I don’t know what to do…
