Coming up on my first year of teaching

The more I try to prepare myself for the beginning of the school year, the more I’ve been realizing….I don’t know what I’m doing! That’s the nature of being a new teacher. I’ll be learning right alongside my students. My hopes are…
1. To have a successful school year
2. Create a classroom environment full of warmth, care, and laughter.
3. Help students overcome any adversities they may face.
4. Help ALL of my students perform at their optimal level despite any baggage they may bring with them.
5. Get kids excited about what they are learning.
6. Learn how to make my next year of teaching even better.
This is why I got into teaching. I just hope I can pull it off!
