I screwed up with my credits, so now I’m working hard to graduate on time, let alone early. BUT a few ideas, make sure to ask your councilors if any of the alternative schools in your area (if you have them, not sure how common they are but they are usually thought of as for the “bad kids”) offer packet credits. They’ll cost you, but they’re awesome! Also, check your current credits with the graduation requirements and project how many credits you would earn by the end of your senior year—in a lot of cases you would end up with extra if you had a full class load, so you might be able to graduate early (as in a semester) without any special effort. Also check if your school does work credits in any way, the school I went to last year would let you trade in 100 hours of work for 1 credit, and this year I’m getting “Work-Based Learning” the last hour of the day and if I work 16 hours a week I’ll get two credits for it (versus one credit if i only worked 8). Just some ideas!

Last summer I vacationed on Lake Powell with my friend and her family. On the middle deck or whatever of the houseboat was a hammock.. and I guess I underestimated how tired I was one day, cuz I laid down and was out for the whole afternoon! But yeah, with the sun and the breeze and the rocking of the boat, it was so peaceful, so comfy! The hammocks that actual hang from something like a ceiling (in this case) are so much better, they’re a lot harder to flip out of for one thing and you can get a lot more cocooned and comfy. Do it!
I may not be happy all the time, but I’ve gotten to the point where I am happy like a normal person! And bad days may get really bad sometimes but now I can just tough it out because now somehow I really do believe that tomorrow can be full of hope if I let myself believe that.. I’ve learned to basically ignore/live with what is bringing me down that I can’t do anything about until the time that it starts not bothering me so much… which DOES happen, it does recede so even if/when it comes back I know it will go away again. My best advice is be strong as you can and find soemthing to do that give you a sense of empowerment. Empowerment, is the first step because you’ll never let yourself be happy (emphasis on LET yourself because it is not frantically scrambling to make your life perfect that makes you happy, it’s breaking down the emotional barriers that are keeping you from it) until you feel strong enough to deserve it. These thing are all just my opinions and what works for me and I know that at a more pessimistic time I would be pissed off at hearing this but I hope that maybe this gets through to someone and might make even a little speck of difference for them..
