Don't get me wrong... 4 years ago

Yes, it was worth it, but make sure that if things aren’t going good, to do something about it. The love I had for Japan kept me from admiting that I needed a new host family. I had many horrible experiences that could have been prevented. It didn’t cross my mind to call the company’s office to switch families or anything. They teach you to try and fix things, because they don’t want people to complain about everything, but just….think, and act accordingly. I love Japan.

Also, I did my exchange sophomore summer of high school, so high school programs are much different than college.

Most families are great, I just had some bad luck that I should have done something about, and didn’t.
