I have gone from living at home to living in my own apartment, paying the bills, and I even have a boyfriend. Not bad for a day before turning 26! Now I just need a job. I really need a job, however I was smart enough to wait to get an apartment until I had enough in savings.

How I did it: I had a sister studying in South Africa and a couple of parents who took the both of us on a road trip to rival all road trips. We utilized a travel agency and as a result were treated like royalty. 5 star hotels including a villa on an ostrich farm, a tree house, a Victorian era home, and Kings Camp in the Timbavati Preserve where our safari took place. How I did it: I knew I wanted to study abroad before I even knew which university I wanted to attend. After I chose my major after my 2nd year, I decided it was time to be serious about study abroad. I knew that I wanted to be in Europe but I wasn't sure if I wanted to be somewhere for 4 months. If I didn't like it, I would be stuck! For me the best option financially and academically was to take a couple of classes over the summer. I started … Read how I did it…
How I did it: 1. Get into college!! Suck it up in high school, get the grades, take the tests, apply and get in!2. Pick a major! Do your due diligence! I went to every department I was interested in and looked at the class offerings, major requirements, and all that other fun stuff!3. STUDY! Time management is key! Focus and make school your number 1 priority. Sacrifices are well worth it in the end!4. Monitor your progress! Believe it or not it… Read how I did it…

I am taking on one serious endeavor at this point. I am outlining my life via Xcel. The x axis of my chart is broken into the seasons and the y axis is separated by the year. This is a great way to remember exactly when I took that obscure trip or other little fun facts.
I think I am becoming more and more consumed with these endeavors because my grandparents are going to be leaving this world soon and their memories are scattered, faded, and obscure. I know they led amazing lives and I think it is a disservice to lose that. I want my family to know how amazing my life has been because I want to inspire others to live it up as well. (Besides, it will help when I start losing my memory even though I am only 25:)
Danielle saved my life on this one! I am forever indebted to her! I still can barely afford this, but I have a 7 month lease and I am moving out of Mom and Dad’s! FINALLY! 30 months is enough! This is one giant leap for me and I am SO excited! I can’t wait to get my change of address forms and move in!
