Made a booking 2 years ago

Despite ignoring a toothache for what must be the 50th time, persistent ‘go to the dentist’ comments have convinced me. Finally booked a dental appointment…

If there’s one thing that makes me scared sh*tless, it’s going to the Dentist. Thursday morning at 9:45AM… eek!

Exercise as a start to the day 2 years ago

The best days of the week are when I manage to use the bike for 30 minutes before going to work. Puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day, and I don’t feel so bad about having the occasional pub lunch with the boys.

I sometimes use the bike twice per day. The goal is now to always use the bike twice per day, and always achieve my target of 250-300 calories (according to the machine) each session.

I say “according to the machine”, because there is no way I am actually riding 12-14kms in half an hour – it is based on the resistance as well as RPM. I figure the calorie calculation works the same way.

Probably over-analyzing what is basically a good achievement :)

During my “yearly review” at work, I received feedback that:

- I had ‘completely changed my outlook and my approach to the rest of my colleagues’
- My senior manager had ‘received feedback from quite a few people’ that I was a lot more approachable and positive.

It’s a lot easier to get through your day, if you don’t react negatively to things. Not everyone has an agenda!
