MEH. 9 months ago

.. This isn’t happening. The Queen of the Damned Ball trip has been called off, and as of tonight the trip to FaerieCon is looking dismal. I can’t do these on my own because of cost, so I was planning on splitting costs with other people, but.. other people tend to bail.

Not happy about this. At all. Two out of three trips sacked will blow. Not to mention the non-refundable tickets to both events and one non-refundable plane ticket cost is adding to the pissed off feeling.

Frustrating. 9 months ago

So I received a packet from the college Financial Aid office – informing me that I have to prove to them I am indeed, poor and made way, WAY less than they think I should have for basic living expenses last year. On top of this they want my parents’ information which—when you’re estranged from your parents, is kind of difficult to obtain.

Feeling very pessimistic about this at the moment. The last thing I really wanted to be reminded about is the fact that I can’t afford an education on my own. If I could, I’d pay for it.

Backpacking video. 10 months ago

My local public library had a sale to get rid of all their VHS video cassettes; along with several others I purchased, I got one on backpacking.
