Well after making this goal of getting my house organized, and making a good deal of progress there might be a little monkey wrench thrown in the mix. The possibility of a move is looming in the near future. But, instead of giving up on my goal completely I’ve decided that I’m going to focus instead on decluttering. Time to clean out all those clothes I don’t wear anymore and all that stuff that just sits around year after year collecting dust. That way if I don’t end up moving it’ll help with the organization, but if I do end up moving that’s less stuff I gotta pack up and tote with me.

I’m in a fundraising frenzy!!! It all started out with my husband’s firehall needing fundraising ideas. He and I sat down one night and made a huge list of ideas…he took a couple of them to their meeting and got one approved. They’re doing a big Christmas Give-Away ticket with gift cards and stuff. Well then it turned into they needed someone to print the tickets…I ended up telling him I’d do them (though now that I’m half way finished I really wish I wouldn’t have agreed!!). Then a couple of friends and I decided to do a Mary Kay fundraiser for a mutual friend of ours that has lymphoma. Of course since I’m the consultant I’m heading that up. We’re kicking ‘er off Wednesday, can’t wait to see how it turns out. I think after I do this fundraiser for her I’m going to hold another one for either cancer research or diabetes…we’ll see how the first one goes before I make anymore plans though!!!
Well I have to say I’m actually making progress on this goal. I spent the past couple of evenings working in my kitchen. I couldn’t believe how many plastic container I had lids to but no container to be found anywhere. Needless to say I matched all of the containers I have with lids and threw the rest of the lids away, time to buy new ones! I have come to the conclusion though that I need a kitchen with more cupboard space… For the rest of you out there trying to accomplish this goal, check out fly lady. www.flylady.com – she gears a lot towards women who work out of their homes but her tips are awesome, she breaks down everything into 15 minute intervals!!!
