I was really pleased with this one. Academy Award winners are usually dramatic and dark and serious, but this movie was more on the light side and I enjoyed Richard Dreyfuss’ performance. It was witty and fun and endearing. SPOILER ALERT – I’m a sucker for romantic comedies but was a little disappointed that this movie followed the typical story line of a couple first hating each other and slowly coming to love each other. And the ending was kind of cheesy.

Just finished this movie. I love how the story line is so original. I really appreciated that when you think they’ve told just about every story out there within the 100+ years of film making. I thought it was a beautiful story and very intriguing. I cared a lot for William Hurt’s character and was sad and surprised by the ending.
Okay movie. I give it a 8 out of 10. I don’t know, just don’t see Sean Penn as a serious actor. Well, I take that back. I’ve seen “Milk” and I thought he was very good in that. Just didn’t believe his dramatic acting in this movie.
