ate plenty of lamb today. we’ll see what happens tomorrow. i am all set, so i’ll be extremely disappointed if i don’t see this all the way through. just drank the tea and am getting ready to go to sleep pretty soon. i set my alarm for extremely early, so hopefully no one else in suite is up then.
got the strangest looks from roommates when i unpacked the juicer and several pounds of lemons from home. explained to them what i was doing and showed them the book, but the looks didn’t go away. i guess i’m winning the award for strangest roommate ever. oh well, the joke will be on them after i start seeing all the benefits of the cleanse.
the tea didn’t taste that great (chocolate smooth move) but i was able to get it down quickly. i really hope i won’t have a problem with the SWF tomorrow. i kind of think that since i’m used to drinking alcohol moderately (i am in college…) i’m used to getting (and keeping) down beverages that don’t taste that great. has anyone had a similar experience? anyway, i don’t plan on drinking again any time soon, but i just thought it was worth mentioning. i’ll see tomorrow. i just REALLY want to be able to get it down, after i’ve seen so many people say that it’s impossible.
wish me luck! i have the great support of my sister and boyfriend but anything else would be wonderful. i am SO ready!

getting ready to do this, starting next monday (right after easter which happens to be the rare sunday christian and orthodox easter fall on the same day—which means lots of lamb). i feel like i have to mentally prepare a lot for this, have been reading a lot of the horror stories but it looks like the success stories outnumber them. going to whole foods tonight to get most of the ingredients, and should get book in the mail soon so i know exactly what i’m in for. getting mom’s juicer when i go home this weekend.
major concerns:
waking up roommates with sound of juicer
either missing classes or having to interrupt classes by frequent trips to the w.c.
getting sick of taste of lemonade
sharing a bathroom with ten other girls (!)
gaining weight back, of course, but i’m going to follow the raw food diet closely
temptation of dining hall food
last one shouldn’t really be too much of a problem, as it is because of the mass-produced excuse for food in the dining halls that i am starting this cleanse. every time i eat something from there (even seemingly innocuous), i spend hours afterwards wishing i hadn’t, wondering what kind of mystery toxins i’ve subjected my body to by eating this food. i have no idea what the ingredients are, and i can’t say i’d like to know. so i’m looking forward to a cleansing from that, as well as the dining dollars i’ll be saving for ten days. i think i’m ready.
