I plan to read thirty-five pages a day for forty-seven days so that I can complete five books I want to read before I start school.

So my husband and I took our measurements today, weighed, took pictures, and wowed at the results. It’s been thirty days since I started exercising every day. I started out doing intervals on the treadmill for thirty minutes and after a couple of weeks I added in strength training under the Body for Life model. I have exercised every day except for one where I strained my quadriceps and needed a day off to heal.
The results of the first thirty days:
I lost 8lbs.
Waist: – 2 inches
Butt: – 2 inches
Thigh: – 2 inches
Calf: – .5 inches
Chest: – 3 inches
Bicep: – .5 inches
My husband lost about the same amount of inches overall and 4lbs. His after picture is much more drastic than mine (but I have a shirt on… so. :)) All in all, we are really happy with the results so far and we’re looking forward to the next thirty days. My husband has decided to add strength training to his routine as well and we’re talking about adding a few pieces to our home gym equipment.
Something I have really noticed about these past thirty days is that I have suddenly become very creative. I’ve had this block forever, and suddenly it feels lifted. I also feel much more comfortable in my own skin already.
Anyway… just wanted to share. Time to hit the treadmill. :)
This morning my wedding ring fell off my finger in the shower (again) and shortly after, so did my husband’s. We couldn’t help but laugh. I’m having a hard time keeping it on my finger in the dry world as well. We’ll need sizers soon. This is encouraging more than it is annoying. Tuesday will mark day thirty and I’ll be posting my progress measurements. My husband and I have decided to try a new eatery (The Glass Onion) to mark our thirty days which will also mark another goal off my list (to eat at the Glass Onion). :)
