I’ve already done as much as I can to keep my household recycling everything we possibly can. I’ve been using recycled and cloth bags for all my shopping and I’ve been driving less. We also bought an extremely fuel efficient car to replace the gas guzzler we had. We’ve been gardening more and canning and freezing our own produce. I also want to set up a compost bin for organic scraps and continue to try and make a smaller environmental footprint.

How I did it: I'm totally hooked on knitting so it wasn't hard to keep it up. I've done my socks, sweater, lacework, learned how to pickup stitches, do the kitchener stitch and cables. The only thing I didn't get to was intarsia and quite frankly, I'm not that interested! I took to heart the phrase "make time for knitting every day" from Knitting Daily. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I read a lot while waiting in lines or when my son was napping. I read a lot at night, too, after my son went to bed. Since I'm also a rabid knitter, I had to choose which hobby I wanted to do and having this goal allowed me to choose reading more often. Read how I did it…
I would really like to take better care of myself by eating healthier and living a more healthy lifestyle so I can live longer and be around for my son. I want to avoid being diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and as I approach 40 (in just 6 short months) I have a lot of work to do to reach this goal. Currently I live a very sedentary lifestyle and I’m quite overweight and out of shape. It’s hard for me to have the energy to keep up with my 2 1/2 yr old son. And, it’s embarrassing to look this way. Out with the Frumpy and in with the Fabulous!!!
I’ve always thought I would do well with different languages. Never got around to studying any. This would be a dream of mine – if I ever follow through!
