1 year later 2 years ago

It’s officially been a year since we’ve been in our apartment.

Pros: privacy, peace and quiet, your stuff goes where you want it, a kitchen full of your food…

Cons: insane rent, barely any disposable income, having to clean constantly

Kiss in the rain
"the rain kiss" rules 3 years ago

True story: I dated this guy briefly a few years ago. I won’t go into the specifics of why it didn’t work out because it’s too complicated to mention here. I’ll call him Marc. The following is something that I will remember for the rest of my life.

Marc was a college friend of my best friend. From the moment I met Marc, there was something positively electric between us.

We had never let on outwardly that we liked each other, but I guess we didn’t have to say it out loud. The night of my best friend’s 21st birthday party, we happened to end up alone in her apartment together while the rest of the guests were off on various errands to get the night started.

It was not long before Marc put his arms around me and told me how beautiful I looked. I told him that I had been waiting for just this sort of occasion to get to know him better.

Unfortunately, a party guest returned to the apartment unexpectedly and spoiled the moment. But by then, there was no way we were going to give up the glimpse that we both just saw in each other. Giddy with our mutual infatuation, we hurriedly invented a thin excuse and ran out of the apartment and into a summer downpour.

The rain didn’t matter. It was dark and warm and we were both instantly soaked. I felt a firm hand grab mine and we ran blindly from the house. Marc pulled me under a nearby tree and kissed me with all the anticipation and passion that had been building between us.

When he pulled away, he looked at me and said “Rain looks good on you.”

I will never forget that feeling.

It was awesome.
