Stop playing "trash tetris" (read all 2 entries…)
It's Finally a Habit

I’ve been very careful to take out the trash as soon as the can is full ever since I stated this as a goal. I think I’ve been doing it long enough now that it’s now habit.

It seems like such a small thing, but it really is worth doing. The kitchen seems much neater without a jenga tower of trash in the corner. It also means that the dog doesn’t get into it and drag it all over the place because she smells something yummy in there.

This is just one small step in my goal to keep my house clean and neat.

Start a separate savings account for downpayment on a new house
Too late!

Well, I was going to start a separate banking account to save money for the downpayment on a new house but…we bought a house already. laughs We certainly hadn’t planned on it working out this way.

You see, we started looking and found this one place that we fell on love with almost immediately. We asked the agent to let us know if anything happened with it and, on the drive home from seeing it, she called to let us know that a contract came in. We liked the house enough that we decided to go down fighting. We put in a bid and won!

So, it’s too late to save anymore money for the downpayment. However, I may still set aside an extra account as a nest egg, since this is taking every bit of savings that we have.

Deodorize my bathroom (read all 2 entries…)
Stumbling blocks

Okay, now that we’ve bought a new house (much sooner than we expected) I have GOT to get this done. I bought some pet odor eliminater to use in the steam cleaner, but it turns out that the bathroom is so small that I can’t get the cleaner in there! It keeps jamming up between the sink and the toilet. Even if I lift it over, I still can’t maneuver it. I’d just have to set it down and clean that one area without getting beside the toilet, sink and all the other nooks and crannies.

We have a small, handheld “steamer” but I can’t get the cap off the fluid container. Even my husband can’t get it off. We’ve tried pliers, running it under hot water, plastic jar grips…

UGH! we’re going to have to replace that carpet unless I can find a way to deep clean it quickly!
