How I did it: * Save up as much money as I could in a savings account with good interest* Paid the minimum amount on my credit cards until I had saved enough in my savings account.* Worked overtime.* Requested money instead of gifts for birthdays.* Limited unneeded spending.* Spent less on food.* Got rid of unneccessary possessions on Ebay (this is a BIG way to make money and learn how much money you really do waste - I can't stress this enough!) I took my 10yr old computer to the recycling centre yesterday. OMG! What a relief to get rid of it!

I went through my clothes and bric-a-brac and filled 6 bags with unwanted junk. I am going to donate them to a charity centre next week. I have two bags of books which I am going to give to my local library.

WOW! This week I planned all my eating for the day.

I ended up saving $200! OMG! That means I could buy a couple of things I wanted and not have to put it on my credit card.

I am now heading into week 2.
