Yesterdays effort......... 1 day ago

A very busy day had by all!

1. Packed another seven boxes of fabric, my little one’s dress-ups/toys, and some of my jewellery tools etc.

2. Grocery shopping & cake decoration shopping with Mum, (before decision of hand made topper).

3. email stuff.

4. Paperwork sorting & shredding.

5. Cook dinner & make deserts.

5A. Mum & my little one made cupcakes together (above).

6. tidying & sorting.

Can’t remember what else…....too tired & sore…........

This one deserves a mention.......... 1 day ago

While this technically doesn’t fit under recording my creativity, it’s definitely worth listing.

It’s my little one’s birthday tomorrow, and ever since her last birthday she had decided that her next cake was going to be a James the engine cake (Thomas the tank engine). Her last one was a beautiful fairy doll cake that Mum & I whipped up.

Well after the last few days of upheaval and mayhem I was beginning to get very stressed about when I’d get the time to make/decorate one. Until yesterday when we decided that we’d print out a couple of pictures that she could colour in, and could then choose her favourite to use as a special decoration on top of her cake.

Even though I’ve had a year of her determination to have a James cake, she actually chose a Thomas picture after colouring it in with her Nanna, which I’ve now laminated.

I think that it’s a beautiful way to decorate her cake, and she feels so proud to have made her own decoration.

Very happy little munchkin, Nanna, and Mum
