How I did it: Took 1st through 3rd year Russian, and went to Middlebury College Russian Intensive Program in the summer. Got a scholarship to go - it was the most rewarding post-grad educational experience I've had! Everyone should at least check out Middlebury's language programs - some are only 6 weeks long, and you leave fluent in your language! Read how I did it…
How I did it: Applied to a local school for a scholarship to do the only thing I really, truly know how to do: speak Italian. Got into UCLA, and worked my ass off. Studied during the summers, applied for every grant and scholarship I could get my hands on, won them all. Took advantage of being a student again in every way. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Walked up to someone on a film set and asked if I could volunteer. They told me to go to the A.D. and tell him I was his cousin and wanted to intern. So they let me intern on the film for a month! I also signed up for film lectures that Moviemaker magazine was holding while it was still located in Seattle. In those classes I made some friends, and I worked with them on preproduction for their films in my free time. Read how I did it…
